Dubai café sets Guinness World Record with Dh2,500 cup of coffee
Roasters expands UAE presence with 11 outlets serving premium coffee creations
DUBAI has officially become home to the most expensive cup of coffee ever served.
This month, homegrown Emirati brand Roasters unveiled a Dh2,500 creation at its flagship outlet on Boulevard Downtown Dubai, earning a Guinness World Record for the feat.
Founded in Dubai, Roasters has grown into one of the UAE’s leading specialty coffee brands, now operating across 11 outlets. Co-founder and CEO Konstantin Harbuz noted that the award highlights the team’s dedication while showcasing Dubai’s rise as a hub for exceptional coffee culture.
Rare beans unveiled
The record-breaking brew is a hand-poured V60 made with rare Panamanian Geisha beans from the Esmeralda farm, revered for their floral aromatics and layered tropical fruit notes. Guests were treated to an immersive tasting, with accompaniments including tiramisu, chocolate ice cream, and a signature chocolate piece – each infused with the same Geisha beans.
Prepared tableside by a skilled barista, the coffee is brewed with a precision pour-over kettle before being served in a handcrafted Edo Kiriko crystal glass from Japan. To enhance the experience, flavour note cards guide guests through the aromas and textures of the exclusive brew.
Coffee culture in Dubai
While Dh2,500 is a record-breaking indulgence, Roasters continues to serve other premium offerings. These include a Dh110 Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee and a Dh75 gold cappuccino, alongside speciality beans retailing at Dh350 per 150 grams.
